Q& A:

How are the classes for?

For anyone interested in learning the Chen style Taijiquan Practical Method.  For people who do not understand Chen Style Taijiquan, the external appearance of the forms does differ. However, when you observe closely there is no difference in the forms.  Yet in the small details there is a difference.

Are the classes suitable for people who have no prior experience with Chen style Taiji?

Yes.  These classes are suitable for people who have or have not had previous experience with Chen style Taiji.  The teaching method is movement mechanics based, and this approach is different from most other teaching methods.

What are the dress requirements?

There is no need to purchase special Taiji shoes and suits.  Track pants and sneakers are fine. Depending on the weather (in Glebe you are training outside in the park) a t-shirt, sweat-shirt or jumper is fine.  In summer, bring sunscreen and a hat.

Can I come and see a class to see what it is like?

Yes, let me know that you are coming, and you can participate in a class.

What is the cost of the course?

At Balmain: You need to become a member of the PCYC (about $25 per year – but check this in case it changed), and the price per lesson is $15 (to be paid at the PCYC office as you enter the building)

At Glebe: The price is $20 per lesson.

At Newington: The price is $20 per lesson.
